Is all of my film returned?

Yes. All Film is returned in better condition due to cleaning and repair

Is it worth re-scanning film that was done 10 years ago?

Yes. Most film scanning machine used a projector and camcorder to VHS 10 years ago. You only got about 40% of the details from your film. You will get 2-3 times better quality by scanning it at the Pro HD or higher level

How do I view my 8mm/Super 8 films before sending them?

It's not a good idea to play them in a projector anymore. The film is fragile and shrunk and will get damaged. Either use a magnifying glass or order editing files so you can edit it on your computer once they are returned

What type of film do you convert?

We convert 8mm, Super 8, 9.5mm, 16mm and 35mm film

We actually scan both. We've converted film for NASA, USGS, Air Force, Independent movie producers and many, many amateur film customers

How long will a DVD conversion of my film last?

Retail DVDs regardless of brand will have a lifetime of about 10 years and may fail as early as 2-5 according to the US National Archives. We offer both professional 25-year DVDs and archival 100-year disks

"Yes. Today through our Pro SD and higher process we can get better quality and can correct colors and remove video noise to get your a better result

How do I view my video tapes before sending them?

If you no longer have a camcorder/deck to play them in there is really no way to view them. We suggest ordering editing files so you can edit it on your computer once they are returned

What type of tapes do you convert?

We convert U-Matic, Betacam, Betamax, VHS, 8mm, Hi8, MiniDV and Digital 8. In addition, we can convert PAL tapes in most of those formats as well

No. We would discard any blank slides

Is it worth re-scanning slides that was done 10 years ago?

It depends. If you original had the slides scanned at 3000 DPI or higher with ICE then you probably don't need to. Otherwise if you had a lower DPI scan done then yes, it would be worth it

How do I view my slides and photos before sending them?

If you no longer have a projector you can use/buy a light box from a local camera shop to view the slides

Is it worth re-scanning film, tape or slides that was done 10 years ago?

In most cases yes. The reason is that we use higher resolution scanners today and we can also restore beyond the capabilities that were available 10 years ago

How do I view my old footage before sending them?

If you don't have a projector or deck/camcorder that will play them there really isn't a good way to view them first. We suggest getting editing files back that you can both watch on your computer and edit so you can make your own DVDs and You Tube files to share
